She is very familiar with editing techniques and AP style. Through her arts studies in film program, she learned the history of the film industry as a whole and the tools needed to critically engage with the medium. Lauren has contributed to publications throughout North Carolina, which has awarded her firsthand experience in interviewing, reviewing, reseraching, transcribing, as well as writing and editing. Her last position was as a contributing writer for a weekly newspaper in Fayetteville, North Carolina. There,Lauren was able to gain even more experience in reviews and features profiles. She describes Her personal writing style or voice as a very whimsy Wesley Morris, though hopefully as equally poetic. Critiquing films is a joy for her. It is her exact calling card.
